Program Mentor Training Camp 2016
The TUF training camp was held from 28th to 30th July, 2016 in HKFYG Jockey Club Sai Kung Outdoor Training Camp. It is aimed to familiarize the new program mentors (PM) about coming challenges and reinvigorate the current PMs.
After warmed-up with ice-breaking games, one of TUF director, Simon Chan, shared about the TUF’s history, vision and mission. All PMs grouped together and had a fruitful sharing section. These activities provided opportunities for all the new and current PMs to understand each other, as well as offered a channel for new PMs to learn from current PMs’ experience.
Moreover, through orienteering activities and simulation games, new PMs got a taste of their future life as a mentor, which enable them to envision potential obstacles and challenges ahead.
At the end of the camp, an inspiring speech was shared by Peter Chow, the Head Coach of TUF, which he shared some insights on mentoring and leadership. Now, all the PMs are ready for the future with enthusiasm and confidence.
