Teach Unlimited Foundation (“TUF”) respects personal data and is committed to fully implementing and complying with the data protection principles and all relevant provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance ("the Ordinance").
Type of Personal Data Collected
When you are in any form of engagement with TUF, making a complaint and/or browsing the website of TUF, we may ask you to provide us with your personal data and/or your personal data may be collected. The personal data collected will vary depending on the nature of your relationship with us. Such personal data include but not limited to:
- Programme Participants/Activity Participants - your full name, date of birth, age, gender, email address, telephone number, mobile phone number, guardian information, and current school, your photographs, video recordings, and audio recordings taken by TUF or voluntarily submitted by you, etc.;
- Employees - any personal data provided in the Employment Application Form, Staff Record Form and Health Declaration Form, bank account number, salary/wage records, MPF contribution records, leave records, training records, medical insurance claim records, performance appraisals and disciplinary action records, etc.;
- Student Intern - any personal data provided in the Internship Application Form, Intern Record Form and Health Declaration Form, etc.;
- Service Providers (Individual)– your full name, email address, telephone number, mobile number, and residential address, correspondence address, and HKID number, etc.;
- Service Providers (Company/Organisation) – your company/organisation name, email address, telephone number, fax number, registered address, business registration number, and company registration number, etc. ;
- Donors - your full name, email address, telephone number, mobile phone number, credit card information, bank account number, donation records, correspondence address, etc.;
- Volunteers - your full name, gender, email address, telephone number, mobile phone number, company/organisation/school associated, title, etc.;
- Complainants - your full name, company/organisation/school associated, title, email address, telephone number, mobile number, complaint details, investigation process, and investigation result, etc.;
Provision of personal information by you is voluntary. However, without your personal information, we may not be able to process your request to be involved with or to become a donor, partner, programme participant, volunteer, employee, service provider, or director of TUF.
Purposes of Collection
The purposes for which your personal data is collected, and will be used, will vary depending on the nature of your relationship with us. Such purposes may include the following:
- Manage your participation in our programmes, events or other activities;
- Process relevant procedures of staff and volunteer recruitment and employment;
- Administer donations such as issue of receipt, donation records, and acknowledgements;
- Carrying out surveys, analysis and research and collating statistical information;
- Provide organisational updates and direct marketing (via brochures, e-newsletters, and/or other printed materials through direct mailing, fax, SMS, email and/or making telephone calls);
- Comply with any statutory requirements or laws that bind TUF.
Retention of Personal Data
Your personal data will be retained for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by applicable laws and regulations. Once your personal data is no longer required, it will be securely deleted or anonymised.
Transfer of Personal Data
All personal data will be kept strictly confidential and secure. TUF does not rent, sell, transfer or disclose your personal data with other people or non-affiliated companies or organisations (who may be located within or outside of Hong Kong) except under the following circumstances:
- any agent, contractor, bank, or third-party service provider who provides administrative, telecommunications, IT, or any other services to TUF in connection with the operation of its business;
- the services requested by you are provided by the person or company or organisation concerned;
- with your prior consent;
- to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process, enforceable governmental request and administrative requirements;
- we believe that it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, or situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person.

If there is any inconsistency or ambiguity between the English version and the Chinese version, the English version shall prevail.
