Be a Program Mentor

Be a Program Mentor

What the experience is about –

“The 24-month TUF program is a uniquely enriching experience for a smart, highly motivated fresh graduate to develop him/herself as a leader through the practical opportunities of applying leadership behavior principles in serving disadvantaged youths in a school environment.” – Peter Chow, TUF Head Coach

Every year, Teach Unlimited Foundation recruits university graduates who want to make a difference and have a desire to develop their leadership potential. In addition to a scholarship, you will also get the opportunity to immerse yourself in a two-year Leadership Development Program and become a TUF Program Mentor by teaching in local secondary schools and mentoring their students from socially disadvantaged communities. We make no pretence that this program is a huge challenge for only the ambitious go-getters, but you will recognise that the greatest rewards come from the greatest challenges.

Would you accept the challenge to be a TUF Program Mentor? Are you ready to transfer your energy, enthusiasm, and ideas to your future students? Aspirations and hard work drove you to find this opportunity. Now is your chance to help others do the same. Lighten them up with your success values and inspire them. You have the opportunity to change their lives and make a real impact in society through education.

We are now recruiting our sixth cohort of Program Mentors starting August 2016. Please see Recruitment of Program Mentors 2016 for application procedures. Deadline of Application: April 11, 2016 (extended). Scholarship will be announced in May, 2016.

“TUF has the core values I embrace most and I find the warmest team in TUF. It aims to nurture leaders not just teachers. We grow together with students when we mentor them. – Cherry Wong, Program Mentor, Graduate of The Chinese University of Hong Kong

“Every disadvantaged pupil is a born talent. One of my goals is to enhance their self-confidence by unveiling their potentials with inspirations, passion and care. Helping them to strengthen their self-beliefs is the meaning of my job.” – Hazel Wong, Program Mentor, Graduate of University of Hong Kong
